Then I had cancer, and I blogged about that so all my family and friends could keep up with my treatment and status. Then I blogged about the installation of my new kitchen. I was a librarian through that whole time, but I didn't start blogging in earnest as a librarian until 2009.

I really love doing it. With statistics I know that people are reading my blog, but I don't get a lot of feedback. No worries. The blog is a method that I use to document what goes on in my library. Plenty. Love your thoughts on why blog. It is part of my fabric now, and I will continue doing it.
Elizabeth
www.talesfromaloudlibrarian.com
(I have nominated my #eddies11, but I am waiting to be nominated. In my previous life, I was a librarian, but this year I moved into the role of a tech integration specialist. I always knew the value of blogs and started one as a librarian, but didn't keep up with it. I've started a new blog this year and while I haven't kept up with it regularly, I've been a little more committed. I know I get hung up on several of the points you addressed--excuses, discouraged from no comments. So, your post has given me a new drive to push on with my blog no matter who does or doesn't read it. Thanks for that and for all the wonderful resources!Gwen Lehmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05571811264131416208noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4128908838311784462.post-40709986309791093842011-11-20T21:32:46.945-05:002011-11-20T21:32:46.945-05:00Thank you for your comment, Floyd! This is a wonderful overview of how to get started. I do believe that the blogs I enjoy reading the most are because the writers have such passion for their topics. I'm convinced that passion for the profession is the discriminating factor in keeping us relevant.Floyd Pentlinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10692480555499790736noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4128908838311784462.post-39388137573316088902011-11-20T11:30:30.862-05:002011-11-20T11:30:30.862-05:00Auntie Lynn!
